♦ The Western end of monsoon trough runs close to foot hills of Himalaya and Eastern end of monsoon trough passes through Basti, Ballia, Bokaro, Bankura, Canning and thence southeastwards to eastcentral Bay of Bengal.

♦ The upper air cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal between 2.1 and 3.6 km above mean sea level persists. Under its influence, a low pressure area would form over northwest Bay of Bengal during next 24 hours.

>> Rainfall occurred at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Konkan, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland; at a few places over Uttrakhand, Madhya Pradesh,Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, and Tripura; at one or two places over Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat region, Saurashtra, Jharkhand, Orissa , Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Sikkim and interior Karnataka. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (2cm and above) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Mahabaleshwar6, North Lakhimpur4, Satna, Itanagar , Bhira and Rajgarh3 each and Dibrugarh, Tinsukhiya and Deimali2 each.

The Southwest Monsoon has been active over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during past 24 hours.The upper air cyclonic circulation over central Uttar Pradesh and adjoining north Madhya Pradesh in lower levels persists.
The upper air cyclonic circulation over southwest Punjab and adjoining northwest Rajasthan in lower levels persists.
The feeble off shore trough at mean sea level runs from Gujarat coast to Kerala coast.
