♦  Rainfall: Rain / thundershowers  occurred at most places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at many places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh; at a few places over Tamilnadu & Kerala and at isolated places over Rayalaseema. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. Amount of rainfall recorded (in cm) at 0830 hours IST of today are: Chennai(Numgambakkam)­9; Chennai(Minambakkam)­8; Karaikal­2; Nagapattinam, Palayankottai, Kalingapatinam, Tuni and Long Islands­1each.

♦  Minimum temperatures are below normal by 4­5°C at a few places over East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Vidarbha and at isolated places over East Rajasthan; by 2­3°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana & Delhi; at a few places over East Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. They are  above normal by 2­3°C at many places over Rayalaseema and Kerala and at a few places over Odisha and Tamilnadu and near normal over rest of the country. The lowest minimum temperature of 0.1°C recorded at Churu ( Rajasthan ) in plains of the country.

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir,  Coastal Andra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal , central & south Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Konkan & Goa,Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, northeastern states, Lakshadweep area, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and peninsular India.

♦  Rainfall : Rain / thundershowers  has occurred at many places over  Coastal Karnataka and Tamilnadu; at isolated places over Rayalaseema. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. Amount of rainfall recorded (in cm) at 1730 hours IST of today are: Tuni and Karaikal­1 each.

♦ Maximum temperatures are below normal by 5­9°C at most places over Punjab, East Uttar Pradesh and Bihar;  at a few places over north Madhya Pradesh; and at isolated over West Uttar Pradesh; by 2­4°C at most places over rest Madhya Pradesh, West Rajasthan and Coastal Andhra Pradesh; at many places over  East Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal  and Odisha; at isolated places over Gujarat state, Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra. They are  above normal by 2­5°C at most places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal and northeastern states; at a few places over Karnataka and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at isolated places over Tamilnadu and near normal over rest of the country. The lowest maximum temperature of 11.0°C recorded at Bahraich ( Uttar Pradesh ) in plains of the country.

Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of  today are: Thanjavur­4; Cuddalore­3; Coonoor­2; Pudduchery & Pamban­1 each.

♦  Cold wave conditions are prevailing over at isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Minimum temperatures are below normal by 2­5°C at most places over Himachal Pradesh, East Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh & Vidarbha; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, West Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh & Gujarat state; at a few places over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana and Madhya Maharashtra; at isolated places over Marathawada. They are above normal by 2­4°C at most places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Rayalaseema; at many places over South Interior Karnataka, Kerala & Tamilnadu; at a few places over northeastern States, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Karnataka & Odisha; at isolated places over Chhattisgarh and West Bengal & Sikkim and near normal over rest part of the country.
