♦ RAINFALL: Rainfall has occurred at most places over east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha; at many places over east Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha and north Andhra Pradesh; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, West Madhya Pradesh, interior Karnataka, West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and at one or two places over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (2 cm and above) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Pachmarhi26, Hoshangabad17, Agumbe16, Narsinghpur15, Dibrugarh and Bhopal14 each, Gondia11, Raisen10, Betul and Datia9 each, Mahabaleshwar8, Vijaywada, Medikeri, Raipur and Nandigama7 each, Hirakud, Jharsuguda, Ambikapur and Koraput6 each, Jaipur, Khajuraho, Jorhat, Kalimpong, Narsapur and Machilipatnam5 each and Allahabad, Tadong, Lumding, Jhansi, Jagdalpur, Tikamgarh, Dehri and Jamshedpur4 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of central India, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, north Andaman Sea and central Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab and west Rajasthan.
♦ The southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Chhattisgarh and active over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha and Uttrakhand during past 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of 5th August.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of central India, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, north Andaman Sea and central Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab and west Rajasthan.
