Fog Watch
♦   Fog:  Very dense to dense fog (Visibility < 200 M) has been observed at a few places over Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and  Madhya Pradesh and shallow fog has also been occurred at a few places over Punjab, Haryana, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal, south Assam and Tripura during morning hours. Visibility (<50 M)   recorded at 0830 hours IST at  Pantnagar, Bhiwani, Narnaul, Churu, Jaipur, Kota, Delhi (Palam), Aligarh, Agra,  Bahraich , Ujjain, Bhopal, Malanjkhand, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Coochbehar, Majbat and Imphal.

Cold Watch
♦  The lowest minimum temperature of ­2.1°C has been recorded at Hissar (Haryana) in plains of the country.
♦  Ground frost (minimum temperature < 4°C) has been observed at isolated places over Punjab, south Haryana and west Rajasthan.
♦  Cold wave conditions are prevailing at a few places over Saurashtra & Kutch.

Main Weather Observations:

♦   RAINFALL:  Light rain/snowfall  has occurred at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.  Rain/thundershowers has occurred at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam, coastal Tamilnadu and  Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Kalpa, Raisen, Malanjkhand and Nancowry­1 each.

♦  Temperatures:  Minimum temperatures are below normal by 4­6°C at a few places over south Haryana, southwest Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch and by 2­3°C at a few places over Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, south interior Karnataka and 
isolated places over  west Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Madhya Maharashtra and Sikkim. They are above normal by 2­4°C at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, north Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Vidarbha and west Telangana and near normal over rest parts of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of  northeast Jammu & Kashmir and southwest Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of rest western Himalayan region, Gangetic West Bengal, Andaman & Nicobar  Kerala, Tamilnadu and northeastern states.

♦    Fog:   Dense fog/fog   (Visibility < 200 M)   observed at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Delhi, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh,  Rajasthan, Bihar,  Assam  and  Tripura  during morning  hours.  The  visibility  (50 M  or  less)  observed  at Ganganagar,   Sundernagar,Chandigarh, Ambala, Hissar, Karnal, Delhi (Ayanagar), Ujjain and Khajuraho at 0830 hours IST of today.

Cold Watch
♦   Cold wave conditions are prevailing at a few places over west Rajasthan and Saurashtra & Kutch.
♦   The lowest minimum temperature of 0.1°C recorded at Churu (Rajasthan) in plains of the country.
♦  Ground frost (minimum temperature < 4°C) observed at a few places over south Haryana and west Rajasthan.

♦   RAINFALL: Rain/snow occurred at most  places over Jammu & Kashmir and   at   a few places over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Rain/thundershowers occurred at isolated places over Delhi, Uttar Pradesh,   Madhya Pradesh and Andaman Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are : Batote­9;  Pahalgaon­7; Banihal, Quazigund and Dharamshala­5 each; Baderwah and Kukarnag­4 each;  Srinagar and Nancowery­3 each; Katra and Banda­2 each and Jammu, Manali, Nowgong and Shivpuri­1 each.

♦   Temperatures: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 4­6°C at   a few places over west Rajasthan and Saurashtra & Kutch; by 2­3°C over rest west Rajasthan and Saurashtra & Kutch and at isolated pockets of  east Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, 
Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Kerala.They are above normal by 3­5°C at many places over Madhya Pradesh and at a few places over  Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, south Bay of Bengal and south Andaman  sea. Low/medium  clouds are  seen over  some parts of  rest western Himalayan  region, Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu.
