♦RAINFALL:Rainfall has occurred at many places over Himachal Pradesh,
Uttarakhand, Haryana (including Delhi & Chandigarh), east Rajasthan,
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, west coast, Madhya Maharashtra,
Telangana, south interior Karnataka and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at
a few places over Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha and northeastern
states and at one or two places over rest part of the country outside
Saurashtra & Kutch and Rayalaseema. where weather remained mainly dry.
The chief amounts of rainfall (3 cm and above) recorded at 1730 hours
IST of today are: Pillani11, Karnal9, Mumbai(Colaba)7, Phulbani &
Mumbai(Santacruz)5 each, Jaipur, Bhopal and Harnai4 each and Ambala,
Rohtak, Narnaul, Udaipur, Ratlam, Indore, Mahabaleshwar, Shirali,
Kozhikode and Mayabandar3 each.
♦ Southwest monsoon remained vigorous over Vidarbha and south interior
Karnataka and active over Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh &
Delhi, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, Marathwada,
Chhattisgarh, Telangana, coastal Karnataka and north interior
Karnataka during past 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of today.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 1730 hours IST shows convective
clouds over parts of northwest India, Gujarat region, Madhya Pradesh,
north Madhya Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Mizoram, east Bay of Bengal,
Andaman Sea and east Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest
parts of the country.
