During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Chin
State, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing
Region, scattered in Magway Region, Rakhine and Kayah States, fairly
widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay and Yangon Regions, Mon State
and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavy
falls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall
recorded were Hkamti (6.93)inches, Maubin (2.40)inches and Khayan
(2.36)inches.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 22nd August, 2012: Rain or
thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing Region, scattered in
Mandalay and Magway Regions,Chin and Kayah States, fairly widespread
in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan and Rakhine
States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with
likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Upper Sagaing Region and
Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters.
