♦ Rainfall: Rain/thundershower has occurred at a few places over Odisha and isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, West Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Tamilnadu. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Phalgam, Chandbali & Kanniyakumari1 each.
♦ Maximum temperatures are above normal by 5-10°C at many places over Himachal Pradesh and at a few places over Rajasthan; by 24°C at many places over East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh & Gujarat; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Delhi and Kerala and at isolated places over Uttrakhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh and Lakshadweep.They are below normal by 24°C at a few places over Assam & Meghalaya, West Bengal & Sikkim; at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh and near normal over rest of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 41.5° C has been recorded at Kandla ( Gujarat) in the plains of the country.
♦ Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Uttrakhand, Gangetic West Bengal, northeastern states, Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region, northwest Arabian sea and south Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
