♦ RAINFALL (From 0830 to 1730 hours IST of yesterday): Rainfall occurred at many places over Himachal Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, southeast Rajasthan, Gujarat region and west coast; at a few places over Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, east India, Vidarbha and Lakshadweep and at one or two places over rest parts of the country outside Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Haryana and west Uttar Pradesh where weather remained mainly dry. The chief amounts of rainfall (3 cm and above) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Mahabaleshwar8, Honavar6, Bhira, Baroda and Vallabh Vidyanagar5 each, Una, Shirali and Barmer4
each, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Karwar, Mangalore and Udaipur3 each.
♦ CLOUDS: Kalpana1 Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of south Rajasthan, Gujarat state, east Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, northeast & eastcentral Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea and Southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
♦ The southwest monsoon has been active over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, coastal & south interior Karnataka and Kerala during past 24 hours ending at 0830 hours IST of yesterday i.e. 12th August.
