Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at a few places over Kerala and at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Weather remain mainly dry over rest of the country.

Temperatures: Heat wave conditions were prevailed over many parts of West Bengal, Assam and some parts of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Maximum temperatures were above normal by 4-6°C at many places over West Bengal, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at isolated places over west Rajasthan, Bihar, Jharkhand and coastal Odisha; by 2-4°C at many places over Gujarat State and Maharashtra; at a few places over west Madhya Pradesh; at isolated places 
over Himachal Pradesh, north interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu. They were nearly normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday's maximum temperature of 44°C and more were recorded at Barmer-45.2, Khargone-44.7, Bikaner-44.4 and Deesa-43.8.

Kalpana-1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of west Assam and sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka, south Bay of Bengal, southeast Arabian sea, south Bay and Comorin area. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, rest northeastern states and peninsular India.

Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Tripura. Weather remain mainly dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Silchar-4; Belgaon and Hassan-1 each.

Temperatures: Yesterday, Heat wave conditions were prevailing over some parts 
of north coastal Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam. Maximum temperatures 
were above normal by 5-8°C at many places over Assam & Meghalaya and at isolated 
places over West Bengal and Odisha; by 2-4°C at isolated places over Himachal 
Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, south interior 
Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala. They were nearly normal over rest parts of the 
country. Maximum temperatures of 43.0°C and more were recorded at Khargone-43.7, 
Wardha, Malegaon and Bhira-43.5, Bankura-43.1, Titlagarh and Bhawanipatna-43.0.

Kalpana-1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some 
parts of easternmost Jammu & Kashmir, south Andaman sea and southwest Bay of 
Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of Rajasthan, Arunachal 
Pradesh, Assam, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Kerala.

Temperatures: Maximum temperatures were above normal by 6-9°C at many places over northeastern states; by 2-5°C at many places over West Bengal & Sikkim, Gujarat region and coastal Odisha and at isolated places over Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and 
Maharashtra. They were below normal by 2-3°C at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra and nearly normal over rest parts of the country. 
Yesterday,maximum temperatures of 42.0°C and more were recorded at Rentachintala-
43.4 Bhubaneshwar and Bankura-42.8, Bhawanipatna, Bramhapuri and Angul-42.7, 
Barmer-42.6, Titlagarh-42.5, Jalgaon-42.3, Akola and Anantapur-42.1 and Baroda-42.0.

Yesterday the maximum temperature of 41°C and more reported at : Rentachintala­42.9, Khargone­41.7, Akola­41.5, Bir­41.2, Barmer­41.1°C.
