♦ Rainfall: Weather remain mainly dry over the country.
♦ Temperatures: Maximum temperatures were above normal by 6-9°C at many places over northeastern states; by 2-5°C at many places over West Bengal & Sikkim, Gujarat region and coastal Odisha and at isolated places over Bihar, Andhra Pradesh and
Maharashtra. They were below normal by 2-3°C at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.
Yesterday,maximum temperatures of 42.0°C and more were recorded at Rentachintala-
43.4 Bhubaneshwar and Bankura-42.8, Bhawanipatna, Bramhapuri and Angul-42.7,
Barmer-42.6, Titlagarh-42.5, Jalgaon-42.3, Akola and Anantapur-42.1 and Baroda-42.0.
♦ Kalpana-1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some
parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Kerala, south Arabian Sea, Comorin area and south Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of rest western
Himalayan region, northeastern States, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Saurashtra & Kutch, Tamilnadu and Karnataka.
