Weather News India 15 April 2014 Forecast Report


♦  Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Kerala; at a few places over Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at isolated places over   Sub­ Himalayan  West   Bengal  &   Sikkim,  Jharkhand,   Chhattisgarh,   east   Madhya   Pradesh,   Vidarbha   and   Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) reported at 0830 hours IST of today are: Chitradurga­4, Pendra, Karipur and Thiruvanathapuram­2 each and Nagpur­1.

♦  Temperatures: Minimum  temperature are below normal by 2­5°C at a few places over Punjab, Chhattisgarh and Konkan & Goa and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana & Delhi, east Uttar 
Pradesh, south interior Karnataka and Kerala. They are above normal by 2­4°C at many  places over Rajasthan and at isolated places over  west  Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat region and nearly normal over rest parts of  the country. Yesterday the maximum temperature of 41°C and more reported at : Rentachintala­42.9, Khargone­41.7, Akola­41.5, Bir­41.2, Barmer­41.1°C.

♦   Kalpana­1:   Cloud   imagery   at   0830   hours   IST   shows   convective   clouds   are   seen   over   some   parts   of  Chhattisgarh, Comorin area and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over   parts of western Himalayan 
region, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar,   Odisha, Jharkhand,   Gangetic West Bengal, rest Chhattisgarh, northeastern states and peninsular India.
