♦  Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers  occurred at most places over Jammu & Kashmir; at many places over Himachal Pradesh; at a few places over Punjab, north Rajasthan, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Tripura, Kerala and Lakshadweep and at isolated places over Uttrakhand, Haryana, Madhya Maharashtra and Assam & Meghalaya. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The chief amount of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST  of today  are: Pahalgaon­7; Kupwara,Qazigund and Kailashahar­6 each; Banihal & Katra­5 each; Srinagar & Kokarnag­4 each; Batote, Baderwah, Manali­3 each; Kalpa & Minicoy­2 each; Solan, Nahan, Tehri and  Kochi­1 each.

♦   Temperatures: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 2­4°C at many places over   Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh. They are above normal by 2­4°C at many places over west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, West Bengal & Sikkim and Madhya Maharashtra; at a few places over Uttrakhand, Chhattisgarh 
and Tamilnadu and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.

♦   Yesterday's the maximum temperature of 42.0°C or more were recorded at Khargone­42.7, Bramhapuri­42.5, Wardha and Kurnool­42.2 and Chanderpur & Akola­42.0.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over many parts of Jammu & Kashmir and some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kerala and southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds over rest western Himalayan region and parts of Punjab, Haryana & Delhi, West Bengal & Sikkim, northeastern states, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & Goa, Karnataka, 
coastal Andhra Pradesh,Tamilnadu and Kerala.
