Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Lakshadweep; at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over East Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh and Coastal Andhra Pradesh and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch, Konkan & Goa and Tamilnadu. The amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Cherrapunji-­31; Majbat­-13; Gopalpur-­12; Najibabad-­11; Bhagalpur, Shimoga & Cuttack-­9 each; Kalimpong, Passighat, Dibrugarh & Jagdalpur-­7 each; Berhampore­-6; Dehradun, Silchar & Burdwan­-5 each; Shillong, Aijal, Malda, Bhubaneshwar, Agartala, Kailashahar & Aminidivi­-4 each and Ludhiana, Jalpaiguri, Lakhimpur, Tangla, Dhubri, Guwahati, Balurghat, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Nandigama, Gulbarga, Udgir & Chitradurga-3 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at most places over Jammu & Kashmir; at many places over Tamilnadu; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema and at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Marathwada. They are below normal by 2­-4°C at most places over Assam & Meghalaya and at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh & Bihar and near normal over rest of the country. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over most parts of Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Assam & Meghalaya and at some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, Lakshadweep, southeast Arabian sea, north Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest of the country.
