Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Lakshadweep; at many places over West Bengal & Sikkim, Vidarbha and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at a few places over Punjab and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, Marathwada, Telangana, Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu. The amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Majbat­-10; Cherrapunji-­8; Cuttack­-7; Haflong-­6; Kalimpong & Silchar-­5 each; Ludhiana, Dehradun, Kailashahar, Berhampur, Bhubaneshwar & Amini Devi-­3 each and Balurghat, Purnia, Passighat, Titlagarh, Nagpur and Chandrapur­-2 each. 

♦ Maximum temperatures are above normal by 2­-5°C at most places over Maharashtra, Karnataka. Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at many places over Madhya Pradesh and Odisha; at a few places over Gujarat, Gangetic West Bengal and at isolated places over Uttrakhand, Chhattisgarh and Coastal Andhra Pradesh. They are below normal by 2­-4°C at most places over Bihar and northeastern state and at most places over Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and near normal over rest of the country. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Punjab, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal & Sikkim, Jharkhand, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Konkan & Goa, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, south Arabian sea and northeast Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest of the country.
