Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep area; at many places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Konkan & Goa and Coastal Andhra Pradesh; at a few places over Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Vidarbha; at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat state, Marathawada, Odisha, Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema and Tamilnadu. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Cherrapunji­-58; Pasighat, Gangtok and Dahanu-­10 each; Itanagar and Vishakhapattinam­-9 each; Tezpur and Dhubri-­8 each; North Lakhimpur, Bulsar and Cannur-­7 each; Goalpara, Majbat and Trivanthapuram-­6 each; Cooch Behar, Karwar and Alapuzha­-5 each; Dibrugarh­-4; Ongole, Bhira, Murmugao, Karipur, Kochi and Agathi­-3 each; Amraoti, Pune, Ratnagiri, Shirali, Agumbe, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Thrissur and Aminidivi-­2 each; Tuni, Nizamabad, Nasik, Bajpe, Bhuntar, Deomali, Rangia, Halflong, Keongjhargarh, Kalingapatinam, Nedumbassery, Yeotmal, Jeur and Malegaon­-1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2­-4°C at most places at Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal; at many places over Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat state; at a few places over Madhya Pradesh; at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Saurashtra & Kutch, South Interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. They are below normal by 2-­4°C at many places over Himachal Pradesh; at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh; at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Vidarbha and Konkan & Goa and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday highest maximum temperature of 45.6°C was recorded at Banda (Uttar Pradesh). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala, central & south Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep area, central & south Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country out side Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh and Bihar
