Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Himachal Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Assam & Meghalaya, Sub­-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Coastal Andra Pradesh and Kerala; at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal, South Interior Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada and West Madhya Pradesh. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Passighat and Chandigarh­-4 each; Jalpaiguri and Alappuza­-3 each; Ranchi, Jamshedpur and North Lakhimpur-­2 each; Tuni, Kottayam, Banihal, Pahalgam, Kokarnag, Cooch Behar, Dibrugarh, Hut Bay, Imphal, Tangla and Pachmari­-1 each. 

♦ Maximum temperatures are above normal by 2-­3°C at most places over West Bengal & Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar; at many places over East Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat State, at a few places over West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, North interior Karnataka and Kerala. They are below normal by 8­-12°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir; a few places over Himachal Pradesh; 5-­7°C at many places over Punjab; at a few places over Arunachal Pradesh; at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya; 2-­4°C at many places over West Rajasthan and Coastal Andra Pradesh; at a few places over Odisha, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Tamilnadu and Madhya Maharashtra and near normal over rest of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 43.8°C has been recorded at Banda (Uttar Pradesh). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura West Bengal & Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat state, Maharashtra & Goa, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, south & central Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Lakshadweep. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
