Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Himachal Pradesh; at many places over northeastern states and Lakshadweep area; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu & Pudducherry; at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal, Telangana, North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Gangtok-­7; Keongjhargarh, Shantiniketan and Rangia-­6 each; Cherrapunji-­5; Arogyavaram, Madurai, Tezpur and Jorhat­-4 each; Titlagarh, Rajnandgaon, Chandrapur, Koraput, Berhampur, Silchar and Golaghat-­3 each; Dabok, Bhawanipatna, Bapatla, Kailashahar, Agartala and Deomali-­2 each; Batote, Delhi (Ridge), Barmer, Udaipur, Tikamgarh, Waltair, Tuni, Minicoy, Tirupathi, Vellore, Tiruppattur, Dharmapuri, Coonoor, Gadag, Goalpara, Tangla, Majbat and Halflong­-1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2­-4°C at a few places over West Bengal & Sikkim; at isolated places over Saurashtra & Kutch and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. They are below normal by 2­-5°C at most places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema; at a few places over Chhattisgarh and Tamilnadu; at isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday highest maximum temperature of 45.0°C was recorded at Chandrapur (Vidarbha). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamilnadu, south Arabian Sea, Southwest & central Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside West Madhya Pradesh and Marathawada.
