Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over Rajasthan, Bihar and Kerala; at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Telangana and Tamilnadu. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of yesterday are: Cherrapunji­-18; Gangtok-­7; Machilipatnam & Dibrugarh-­5 each; Passighat, Kailashahar, Baghdogra & Jaisalmer-­5 each; Rangia & Narsapur-­3 each; Khajuraho, Jalpaiguri, North Lakhimpur, Halflong, Silchar, Aijal, Vijayawada, Kodaikanal & Long Island-­2 each and Pahalgaon, Baderwah, Delhi (Ayanagar), Phalodi, Patna, Deomali, Itanagar, Tezpur, Lumding, Tangla, Goalpara, Cooch Behar, Aminidivi, Karwar and Portblair-­1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at many places over Gangetic West Bengal; at a few places over Saurashtra & Kutch and Marathawada; at isolated places over Odisha and Kerala. They are below normal by 4­-6°C at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and Rajasthan; by 2-3°C at many places over rest Jammu & Kashmir, rest Rajasthan; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh; at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya and near normal over rest of the country. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Gangetic west Bengal, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Konkan & Goa, south Arabian Sea, Southwest & central Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
