Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over West coast, Vidarbha and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at Many places over Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra & Kutch, northeastern states and Lakshadweep; at a few places over East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, interior Karnataka & Gujarat region and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, West Rajasthan, East Uttar Pradesh, Marathwada, Rayalaseema and Tamilnadu. The amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Cherrapunji-­13; Baripada­ & Wasim­-10 each; Panagarh­-9; Alibag-­8; Karwar-­6; Shajapur, Ujjain, Nagpur, Nizamabad, Dahanu, Mumbai (Santacruz) & Mayabandar-­5 each; Betul, Seoni, Chandrapur, Mumbai (Colaba), Honavar & Jagdalpur­-4 each; Mahabaleshwar, Malda, Guwahati, Titlagarh, Nandigama, Long Islands & Portblair-­3 each and Bhubaneshwar, Kailashahar, Dibrugarh, Cannur, Akola, Fursatganj, Digha &Puducherry­-2 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are below normal by 2-­4°C at most places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Madhya Pradesh; at many places over Himachal Pradesh & East Madhya Pradesh; at a few places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Vidarbha and at isolated places over Saurashtra & Kutch and Konkan & Goa. They are above normal by 2­-3°C at a few places over Sub­-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and at isolated places over West Rajasthan & Tamilnadu and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday the highest maximum temperature of 41.6°C was recorded at Jhansi & Varanasi ( Uttar Pradesh). 

Kalpana1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over Sub­Himalayan West Bengal, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Assam & Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka, Tamilnadu & Puducherry, Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep area, Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and West Rajasthan.
