Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Coastal Karnataka and Kerala; at many places over West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathawada and Lakshadweep; at a few places over Saurashtra & Kutch, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at isolated places over Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Gujarat region and interior Karnataka. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Cherrapunji, Lengpui, Kailashar, Cannur & Thrissur-­5 each; Bagdogra, Jalpaiguri, Ujjain, Dahanu, Goa (Panjim) & Jalgaon­-4 each; Coochbehar, Ratlam, Khargone, Rajkot, Aurangabad, Chandrapur, & Nagapattinam­-3 each; Pahalgaon, Gangtok, Darjeeling, Guwahati, Silchar, Dhar, Vengurla, Karwar, Alapuzha & Aminidivi-­2 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at most places over West Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha & Chhattisgarh; at many places over east Uttar Pradesh & east Madhya Pradesh; at a few places over Madhya Maharashtra, North Interior Karnataka, Telangana & Coastal Andhra Pradesh; at isolated places over Gujarat region Kerala and Tamilnadu. They are below normal by 2­-4°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, West madhya Pradesh; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh; at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday,the highest maximum temperature of 45.9°C was recorded at Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, West Bengal & Sikkim, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Madhya Maharashtra, Tamilnadu & Pudducherry, Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep area and Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
