Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Arunachal Pradesh and Kerala; at a few places over Assam & Meghalaya, Vidarbha, North Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu; at isolated places over Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka and Assam & Meghalaya. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Tadong-­5; Gangtok & Thrissur­-4 each; Adilabad & Nanded-­3 each; Nedumbaserry, Honawar, Chandrapur & Coonoor-­2 each and Coimbatore, Portblair, Kottayam, Nancowry, Chitradurga, Guwahati, North Lakhimpur, Udgir and Dharwad-­1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­3°C at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, West Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch and Madhya Maharashtra; at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and West Rajasthan. They are below normal by 2­-4°C at most places over East Uttar Pradesh; at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha; at a few places over West Uttar Pradesh; at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday's highest maximum temperature of 44.7°C was recorded at Jalore (Rajasthan).

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of central & south Bay of Bengal, south Andaman sea, southeast Arabian sea and comorin area. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat region, Marathwada and North Interior Karnataka.
