Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Assam & Meghalaya and Madhya Maharashtra; at a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, North Interior Karnataka, Kerala and Tamilnadu and at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Marathawada, Konkan & Goa and Coastal Karnataka. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Sholapur & Mahabaleshwar-­5 each; Kolhapur & Mangaluru-­4 each; Gangtok, Kailashahar & Panjim­-3 each; Tadong, Rangia & Madurai­-2 each; Tangla, Guwahati, Silchar, Keongjhargarh, Nanded, Sangli, Belgaum, Pallakad, Nedumbassery, Valprai & Kodaikanal-­1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­3°C at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya and West Rajasthan. They are below normal by 2-­4°C at many places over Odisha, East Madhya Pradesh and Madhya Maharashtra; at a few places over East Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Konkan & Goa and Marathawada and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday's highest maximum temperature of 45.2°C was recorded at Churu (Rajasthan). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Assam & Meghalaya, South Interior Karnataka, Kerala, Tamilnadu, south Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea, southeast Arabian sea and comorin area. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar and Gujarat region.
