Rainfall: Rain/thundershower has occurred at many places over West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya; at a few places over Jharkhand & Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Odisha, Vidarbha, Kerala, Tamilnadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Cherrapunji; Itanagar & Dibrugarh-­4 each; Silchar, Bankura, Jamshedpur, Sundergarh & Jagdalpur­-3 each; Pasighat, Dhubri, Majbat, North Lakhimpur, Golpara & Digha­-2 each and Gangtok, Tezpur, Bagati, Brahmapuri & Valprai­-1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2­-3°C at a few places over Rajasthan and Saurashtra & Kutch; at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya, Gujarat region, Konkan & Goa, Kerala and Tamilnadu. They are below normal by 2-­4°C at most places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, East Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh; at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir and West Uttar Pradesh; at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday highest maximum temperature of 45.1°C was recorded at Chandrapur (Maharashtra). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of central & south Bay of Bengal and south Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest Parts of the country outside Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand,Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Gujarat region.
