Rainfall: Rain/thundershower has occurred at most places over Assam & Meghalaya; at many places over West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at a few places over South Interior Karnataka; at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Cherrapunji­-11; Cooch Behar­-5; Dharmapuri & Kailashahar-­3 each; Baghdogra, Shantiniketan, Kolkata (Alipore), Silchar, Lengpui, Rangia, Goalpara, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Pasighat, Nellore, Raichur & Tirupathi­-2 each and Gangtok, Diamond Harbour, Canning, Deomali, North Lakhimpur, Itanagar, Bangaluru, Mayabander and Shillong­-1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 3-­4°C at isolated places over West Rajasthan, Gujarat state and Madhya Maharashtra. They are below normal by 3-­5°C at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Coastal Gujarat and Rayalaseema and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday's highest maximum temperature of 45.0°C was recorded at Chandrapur (Maharashtra) in the plains of country. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Central, southwest & south Bay of Bengal and south Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest Parts of the country outside Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Rajasthan, West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat state.
