Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Arunachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal & Sikkim and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and at isolated places over Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh Coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 IST of today are : Cherapunji­-15, Dhubri-­5; Jalpaiguri-­4; Midnapore, Nancowry & Gopalpur­-3 each; Pahalgaon, Banihal, Kalpa, Coochbehar, Purulia, Balurghat, Passighat, Guwahati, Tangla, Majbat & Tezpur-­2 each and Kupwara, Gulmarg, Srinagar, Banihal, Manali, Gangtok, Panagarh, Kohima, Deomali, Silchar, Kailashahar and Kavali­-1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at at most places over Kerala; at many places over Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, north Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra & Kutch, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Konkan & Goa and Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over Uttarakhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Tamilnadu and at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Gujarat Region, Vidarbha, North Interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema. They are below normal by 2-­3°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya and near normal over rest of the country. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu, southeast Arabian sea, south & central Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab and West Rajasthan.
