Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir; at isolated places over Vidarbha and Assam & Meghalaya. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Pahalgaon, Srinagar, Portblair, Mayabandar, Nancowry and Shillong-­1 each. 

♦ Yesterday's, Maximum temperatures were above normal by 5-­8°C at many places over north coastal Odisha; at a few places over Odisha and Jharkhand; by 2-­4°C at most places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Gangetic West Bengal; at many places over Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Vidarbha; at a few places over Odisha, Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, rest Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Chhattisgarh; at isolated places over Rayalaseema & Kerala and near normal over rest of the country. The highest maximum temperatures was reported at: Bamrauli- ­47.7°C followed by Tuni­- 47.2°C, Chandrapur and Khajuraho­- 47.0°C each. 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Bay of Bengal and south Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra.
