Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kerala and Tamilnadu & Pudducherry; at a few places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi and Assam & Meghalaya;at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka, Andaman & Nicobar islands and Lakshadweep area. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today are: Pamban-­4; Satara, Salem & Dharmapuri­-3 each; Fursatgunj & Palayankottai-­2 each and Sundarnagar, Meerut, Barmer, Itanagar, Golaghat, Shillong, Madurai, Kanyakumari & Portblair­-1 each. 

♦ Maximum temperatures are above normal by 2-­3°C at many places over Gangetic West Bengal and northeastern states; at a few places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and Saurashtra & Kutch and at isolated places over Konkan & Goa. They are below normal by 5­-8°C at many places over Tamilnadu; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir; by 2-­4°C at most places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Rajasthan and Kerala; at many places over East Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Marathawada and Karnataka; at isolated places over West Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra & Coastal Andhra Pradesh and near normal over rest of the country.The highest maximum temperature of 42.9°C has been recorded at Wardha (Maharashtra). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1730 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Jharkhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathawada, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Tamilnadu, south & southwest Bay of Bengal, Comorin area, southeast Arabian Sea and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
