Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Uttrakhand,Coastal Karnataka,Lakshadweep, Tamilnadu & Pudducherry and Andaman & Nicobar; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura an Kerala and; at a few places over West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra and Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gujarat state, Vidarbha,Telangana and Marathawada. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Pune & Karwa-r­10 each; Honavar & Kudimiamalai­-7 each; Cherrapunji, Kodaikanal & Palakkad­-6 each; Rangia, Silchar & Coonoor­-5 each; Tadong, Jalpaiguri, Dhubri, Goalpara, Shimoga, Cuddalore, Palayankottai, Pamban & Valparai-­4 each; Coochbehar, Bagdogra, Itanagar, Rajnandgaon, Satara, Dharmapuri, Salem & Aminidivi­-3 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2­-3°C at many places over Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Bihar; at a few places over Jammu& Kashmir, Saurashtra & Kutch, East Madhya Pradesh and Assam & Meghalaya.They are below normal by 2­-5°C at most places over Vidarbha; at many places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathawada; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh and Coastal Karnataka; at isolated places over West Rajasthan and near normal over rest of the country.Yesterday;s highest maximum temperature of 42.9°C was recorded at Wardha (Maharashtra). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Konkan & Goa, South interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Tamilnadu, Nagaland, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, south Bay of Bengal, Comorin area, southeast Arabian Sea and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country.
