Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Jammu & Kashmir and Kerala; at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Tamilnadu, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep; at a few places over Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Odisha, northeastern states and Vidarbha; at isolated places over Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Coastal & North Interior Karnataka and Saurashtra & Kutch. Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Thiruvanthapuram & Agartala-­5 each; Pamban-­ & Jorhat-­4 each; Coonoor & Gorakhpur-­3 each; Una, Bhubaneshwar, Puri, Jagdalpur, Chandrapur, Belgaum, Mangalore , Golaghat and Long Islands­-2 each, Gulmarg, Srinagar, Pahalgam, Banihal, Batote, Dharamshala, Cannur, Bajpe, Malda, Madurai, Tuticorin, Thanjavur, Palakkad, Agathi, Hutbay and Malanjkhand­-1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir and Assam & Meghalaya; at a few places over Uttarakhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Arunachal Pradesh and Gujarat region; at isolated places over East Madhya Pradesh and Marathawada. They are below normal by 2-­5°C at many places over Vidarbha; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu; at isolated places over Rajasthan and near normal over rest of the country. The highest maximum temperature of 44.8°C was recorded at Chandrapur (Maharashtra). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andaman Sea, south & central Bay of Bengal, Comorin area and southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside West Uttar Pradesh and Marathwada.
