♦ Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim; at many places over Tamilnadu, Kerala, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep area; at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Rajasthan, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Chhattisgarh, North Interior Karnataka and Coastal Karnataka and Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Gangtok-5; Attiramapattinam, Tadong, Agartala and Tuticorin-4 each; Jalpaiguri, Kozhikode, Cannur and Carnicobar-3 each; Malda, Berhampur, Palakkad and Periakulum-2 each; Ambala, Chandigarh, Balurghat, Kailashahar, Aminidivi, Kanyakumari, Kodaikanal, Pudducherry, Cuddalore and Tondi-1 each.
♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-4°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh; at a few places over East Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Rayalaseema; at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Vidarbha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh.They are below normal by 2-4°C at a few places over West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep area. Yesterday's highest maximum temperature of 44.6°C has been recorded at Khajuraho (Madhya Pradesh).
♦ Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, North Eastern States, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamilnadu & Pondicherry, Kerala, Karnataka, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep area, southwest & west central Bay of Bengal and Southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Konkan & Goa, Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra and North Interior Karnataka.
