Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Assam & Meghalaya; at a few places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and Kerala; at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Madhya Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Tamilnadu, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Weather remained dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Kailashahar-­4; Rangia, Chitradurga & Coimbatore­-3 each; Coochbehar, Dhubri, Agartala, Balurghat, Kochi, Dharmapuri & Kottayam; Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Tangla, Goalpada, Shillong, Cherrapunji, Silchar, Thrissur, Madurai & Gadag­-1 each. 

♦ Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-­4°C at most places over Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh; at many places over Jammu & Kashmir; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and Jharkhand; at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra and Assam & Meghalaya. They are below normal by 2-­4°C at isolated places over Madhya Pradesh and Tamilnadu and near normal over rest of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 45.2°C was recorded at Bhiwani (Haryana). 

Kalpana 1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Sub-­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, south Arabian sea, Comorin area, south Bay of Bengal and Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside West Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
