♦ Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at most places over Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Gujarat region, Konkan & Goa and Coastal Karnataka; at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Haryana & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch, Madhya Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and interior Karnataka; at a few places over East Madhya Pradesh and at isolated places over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, West Madhya Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamilnadu
and Lakshadweep. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (3 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Diu-12; Batote & Katra-9 each; Qazigund & Baderwah-8 each; Idar, Banihal & Kokernag-7 each; Jammu-6; Amritsar & Sambalpur-4 each; Ganganagar, Haldia, Balasore,
Surendranagar, Srinagar & Kalingapatam-3 each.
♦ Temperature: Yesterday, maximum temperatures were above normal by 2-3°C at many places over Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Madhya Pradesh & Vidarbha. They were below normal by 6-8°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmirs; at a few places over West Rajasthan; by 2-5 °C at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana & Delhi, East Rajasthan Gujarat and Odisha and at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra and Tamilnadu and near normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery of 0530 hours IST of today shows convective clouds over many parts of Punjab and Odisha
