♦ Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at a few places over Jammu &
Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura; at isolated places over Marathwada, Madhya Maharashtra,Telangana, interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: North Lakhimpur7; Mysore6; Passighat4; Malda and Balurghat3 each; Nancowry, Belgaum,
Chitradurga, Salem, Vellore, Long Islands and Kailashahar2 each; Dibrugarh, Mangalore, Purnea, Jeur, Agartala, Imphal, Silchar, Tezpur and Belgaum1each.
♦ Temperature: Yesterday heat wave conditions prevailed at a few places over Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha and at isolated places over Haryana & Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Maximum temperature of 46°C or more recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Ganganagar46.8; Churu46.7; Sheopur46.6; Khajuraho46.4; Kota46.2; Delhi(Palam), Hissar, Bikaner and Chittorgarh46.0.Minimum temperatures are above normal by 25°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Gujarat and at a few places over Uttar Pradesh, Vidarbha and Marathwada. They are below normal by 25°C at a few places over Odisha, Chhattisgarh and SubHimalayan West Bengal and at isolated over Assam and near normal over rest parts of the
country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Andaman Sea and south east Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Haryana & Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Telengana, Marathawada, Jharkhand and Rayalaseema.
