Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at many places over Odisha & West Bengal; at a few places over Bihar, Jharkhand & Andhra Pradesh and at isolated places over Chhattisgarh, east Madhya Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remain mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Bhagalpur-7; Haldia-5; Gaya, Malda and Kolkata-3 each; Diamond Harbour, Behrampur, Perrikulam-2 each; Purnea, Bankura, Ulubaria, Midnapore, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Hirakud, Shillong, Barapani, Kalingapatnam and Maya Bandar-1 each.

Temperature: Heat wave conditions prevailed over isolated pocket of west Rajasthan and Saurashtra & Kutch. Maximum temperature of 44.0°C or more has been recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Bhuj-45.4, Barmer-45.2, Chandrapur-45.0, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Surendra Nagar-44.3 and Nanded-44.0.Maximum temperatures were above normal by 2-4°C at many places over Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Kerala; at a few places over west Rajasthan. They were below normal by 10-14°C at many places over Odisha; by 5-9°C at many places over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar; and at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh; by 2-4°C at many places 
over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Haryana & Delhi, rest Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal & Sikkim, east Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and coastal Andhra Pradesh and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.

Kalpana-1: Cloud imagery of 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, West Bengal & Sikkim, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Tamilnadu, Kerala, north & south Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and south 
east Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab, Haryana & Delhi, west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rayalaseema.
