♦ Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Jammu &
Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh; at a few places over Uttrakhand, Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal and Kerala and at isolated places over Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Dharamshala6, Shimla5; Pantnagar, Vishakhapatnam and Chandbali3 each; Sundernagar, Cherapunji, Kolkata and Kailashahar2 each; Bhuntar, Kupwara, Manali, Una, Pilani, Udaipur, Raipur, Diamond Harbour, Gopalpur, Madurai and Agathi1 each.
♦ Temperatures: Yesterday, heatwave conditions were prevailed at a few places over Vidarbha and at isolated places over Telangana. Maximum temperature of 45.0°C or more was recorded at: Chandrapur and Rentachintala45.2 each and Wardha45.1.Minimum temperatures are above normal by 24°C at a few places over south Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Tamilnadu and at isolated places over interior Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Kerala. They are below normal by 25°C at many places over Himachal Pradesh, Odisha; at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Chhattisgarh and north Rajasthan and near normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of north Andhra Pradesh, Andaman Sea, south Bay of Bengal and south Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
