♦  Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Odisha, Assam 
& Meghalaya, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Gangetic West Bengal; at a few places over   Uttarakhand,   west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh and coastal Andhra Pradesh, and at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir,  Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura,  Kerala and Lakshadweep. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Kalingapatnam­23;  Balasore­21; Contai­16; Bhubaneshwar, Digha and Cuttack­14 each; Chandbali­8;  Gopalpur­7; Puri & Angul­6 each;   Baripada­5;   Bhawanipatna,   Nalgonda,   Rangia,   Shillong   and   Bagati­4   each;   Koraput,   Gorakhpur   and   Cooch   Behar­3   each;   Meerut, Ambikapur, Raipur, Jalpaiguri, Diamond Harbour, Canning, Midnapur, Bapatla and Hutbay­2 each and New Delhi, Patna, Kakinada, Paradip, Phulbani, Keonjhargarh, Malanjkhand, Haflong, Cherrapunji, Gangtok, Carnicobar, Minicoy, Tehri,  Varanasi, Guwahati and Silchar ­1 each.

♦  Temperatures:   Yesterday, maximum Temperature of 44.0°C or more were recorded at 1730 hours IST of were: Chandrapur­46.0; Bramhapuri­44.4, Wardha­44.0, Akola­43.8, Khargone & Jalore­43.7, Amroati, Jalgaon & Barmer­43.6.Today, Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2­4°C at isolated places over Rajasthan, Bihar, West Bengal, Gujarat state, Marathawada, interior Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Manipur, Tamilnadu and Kerala.  They are below normal by 2­4°C at a few places over Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telengana and at isolated places over  Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, 
Haryana & Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and near normal over rest parts of the country.

♦   Kalpana­1:  Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over   parts of Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic  West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, north & south Bay of Bengal and Andaman Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest 
parts of the country outside Punjab,Haryana & Delhi.
