♦ Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at most places over Jammu &
Kashmir; at many places over Assam & Meghalaya, Sikkim and Andaman & Nicobar Islands; at a few places over Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh & Tamilnadu and at isolated places over Kerala. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Tadong7, Cherrapunji6; Dharmapuri5; Gangtok & Vellore4 each; Salem & Hut Bay3 each; Batote, Rangia & Kozhikode2 each.
♦ Temperatures: Heatwave conditions were prevailed over some parts of Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Bihar and Odisha. Maximum temperatures of 45.0°C or more recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Wardha45.5; Bapatla45.1 and Titlagarh45.0. Minimum temperature are above normal by 24°C at many places over Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal and Coastal Andhra Pradesh and at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, West Madhya Pradesh and South Interior Karnataka. They are below normal by 24°C at many places over East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha Konkan & Goa and at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, interior Odisha, Gujarat region, Marathwada & Tamilnadu and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery of 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, northeast, central & south Bay of Bengal, Andaman Sea and south Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of rest parts of country out side East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and Jharkhand.
