♦ Rainfall: Rain/thundershowers occurred at a few places over Jammu & Kashmir and at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, northeastern states, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Imphal3; Bhuntar, Kailashahar, Sundernagar and Dharmapuri2 each and Agartala, Kodaikanal, Valparai, Batote, Silchar, north Lakhimpur and Maya Bandar1 each.
♦ Temperature: Maximum temperatures were above normal by 56°C at a few places over Bihar; by 24°C at many places over east Uttar Pradesh, rest Bihar, SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Assam. They were below normal by 25°C at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and at a few places over Arunachal Pradesh, east Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and at isolated places over Maharashtra and north interior Karnataka and nearly normal over rest parts of the country. The maximum temperature of 43.0°C or more were recorded at Orai44.0, Patna 43.5, Gaya43.3 and Rentachintala43.0.
♦ Kalpana1:Cloud imagery of 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Andaman Sea, east central & southeast Bay of Bengal. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of Jammu & Kashmir and over Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, northwest
Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, northeastern States and peninsular India.
