Rainfall: Rain/snow occurred at many places over Jammu & Kashmir and at a few places over Himachal Pradesh and at isolated places over Uttrakhand. Rain/thundershowers occurred at isolated over north Chhattisgarh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal Bengal & Sikkim. Mainly dry/dry weather prevailed over rest of the country. The amount of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 0830 to 1730 hours IST yesterday were: Mukteshwar, Shimla and Gangtok-1each.

Temperatures: Maximum temperatures were below normal by 2-5°C at a isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and north interior Karnataka. They were above normal by 2-5°C at many places over Assam & Meghalaya, coastal Odisha 
and along west coast and at isolated places over Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Tamilnadu and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.

Kalpana-1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of east Jammu & Kashmir, south Bay of Bengal, south Arabian sea and comorin area . Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of rest Jammu & Kashmir, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, northeastern 
states and peninsular India.
