♦    RAINFALL: Rain/snow occurred at many places over   Jammu & Kashmir.   Rain/thundershowers occurred at isolated places over Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Marathawada, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha and   north interior Karnataka . Weather remained dry/mainly dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were:  Parbhani­2;  Kupwara, Akola, Yeotmal and Paradip­1 each.

♦   Temperatures:  Maximum temperatures were below normal by 6­8°C at many places over of interior Maharashtra and  at a few  places  over north interior Karnataka and Telangana; by 2­5°C at many  places over south Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, rest Maharashtra and rest Karnataka; at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, west Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, north Odisha, Rayalaseema and Kerala. They were above normal by 2­4°C at isolated places over west Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and nearly normal over rest of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over many parts of Jammu & Kashmir and some parts of Himachal  Pradesh  and  southeast  Arabian   sea.  Low/medium  clouds   are  seen  over   parts   of   rest  western   Himalayan  region, northeastern states and northwest, east, central  & peninsular India.
