Fog Watch
♦   Fog: Fog/shallow fog has been observed at isolated pockets of Bihar and Assam in early morning hours of today.

Cold Watch
♦   Yesterday, minimum temperatures were below 05.0°C at many places over western Himalayan regions and below 10.0°C at many places over Punjab and Haryana and at a few places over Uttar Pradesh, north Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, 
Jharkhand, north Odisha, Sub­Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur. The lowest minimum temperature of 4.3°C was recorded at Adampur (Punjab)  in plains of the country.

Main Weather Observations
♦   RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers occurred at isolated places over Tamilnadu and  Andaman & Nicobar Islands.  Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Nagapattinam­5 and Karaikal­3.

♦   Temperatures: Maximum temperatures were above normal by 2­4°C at many places over  northeastern states and at few places over Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Saurashtra & Kutch and Tamilnadu and isolated places over Punjab, Rajasthan, 
Bihar, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Kerala.  They were below normal by 2­3°C over isolated places over Chhattisgarh and west Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest parts of the country.

 Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Kerala, south and adjoining central Bay of Bengal, south Arabian sea and south Andaman sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts western Himalayan region and rest peninsular India.
