Fog Watch
♦   Fog: Fog/shallow fog has been observed at isolated places of east Uttar Pradesh in early morning hours of today.

Cold Watch
♦ Yesterday, minimum temperatures were below 05.0°C at many places over western Himalayan regions and below 10.0°C at many places over Punjab and Haryana and at a few places over west  Uttar Pradesh and north Rajasthan.  The lowest minimum temperature of 5.0°C was recorded at Najibabad (Uttar Pradesh)  in plains of the country.

Main Weather Observations
♦   RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers  occurred at a few places over south Tamilnadu and Lakshadweep and at isolated places over  Andaman & Nicobar Island.  Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country. The amount of rainfall   recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Pamban, Karaikal and Nancowry­1 cm. each.

♦   Temperatures: Yesterday, maximum temperatures were above normal by 2­4°C over many parts of northeastern states; over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat region, West Bengal & Sikkim, Konkan and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.   They were below normal by 2­3°C over  some parts parts of Bihar and  south Tamilnadu and near normal over rest parts of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Jammu & Kashmir, coastal Tamilnadu, south Bay of Bengal, Andaman sea, comorin area and south Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of northeastern states and  rest peninsular India.
