Fog Watch
♦ No dense fog has been observed over the country.
Main Weather Observations
♦ RAINFALL:Rain/thundershowers has occurred at a few places over coastal Tamilnadu and at isolated pockets of west Madhya Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and rest Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry/ dry over rest parts of the country. The amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Nagapattanami-6; Pamban-5; Atiramapattinam-4; Karaikal-2 and Indore, Nancowry, Tanjavur and Coonoor- 1 each.
♦ Temperatures: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 2-4°C over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand and Odisha. They are above normal by 2-5°C over rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Gujarat region, Maharastra state, north interior Karnataka and Telengana and near normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana-1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over parts of Comorin area, south & adjoining central Bay of Bengal, south Andaman sea and southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over western Himalayan region, Madhya Pradesh and peninsular India.
♦ The well marked low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengal with associated upper air cyclonic circulation extending upto mid-tropospheric levels persists.
♦ The trough of low at mean sea level from Lakshadweep area to north Maharashtra coast persists.
♦ The feeble western disturbance as an upper air cyclonic circulation over northern parts of Jammu & Kashmir is moving away eastwards.
♦ A fresh western disturbance as an upper air trough in mid-tropospheric westerlies over north Pakistan and neighbourhood along longitude 62.0E and Latitude north of 30.0N.
