Fog Watch
♦ Fog: Dense to very dense fog (Visibility<200 m) has been observed at isolated pockets of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar and fog (visibility<500m) also has been observed over some parts of rest Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Bihar. Visibility (<200 m) observed over Patiala, Ambala, Bahraich, Gorakhpur, Lucknow, Sultanpur, Gaya and Jodhpur at 0530 hours IST of today.
Cold Watch
♦ Cold wave conditions prevailed over some parts of north interior Karnataka.
♦ Yesterday's cold day conditions prevailed at one or two places over Punjab and North Rajasthan where maximum temperatures were below 15°C.
♦ Yesterday's minimum temperatures were below 5°C at many places over western Himalayan regions, between 510°C at a few places over Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, interior Maharashtra and interior Odisha.
♦ Yesterday's the lowest minimum temperature of 5.0°C was recorded at Najibabad (Uttar Pradesh) in plains of the country.
Main Weather Observations
♦ RAINFALL: Rain/snow occurred at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir. Rain/thundershowers has occurred at isolated places over Meghalaya. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest parts of the country.
♦ Temperatures: Yesterday's maximum temperatures were below normal by 69°C at isolated places over Jammu division of Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, north Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Sikkim and by 35°C at rest Rajasthan, Assam & Meghalaya, Odisha and west Madhya Pradesh. They were above normal by 24°C at isolated places of Kashmir division of Jammu & Kashmir, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Saurashtra & Kutch, Tamilnadu and Kerala and near normal over rest parts of the country.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, south Bay of Bengal, south Andaman sea and southeast Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of Jammu & Kashmir and some parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, northeastern states, Andaman & Nicobar islands,Tamilnadu and Kerala.
