Fog Watch
♦   Fog: Dense to very dense fog (Visibility<200 m) observed at many places over Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and at isolated places over northwest Rajasthan and Saurashtra. Fog/shallow fog  also observed over isolated pockets of Kutch, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam and Tripura during morning hours. 
Visibility (<50 m) was observed over Ganganagar, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Ambala, Hissar, Delhi, Meerut, Lucknow, Fursatgunj, Sultanpur, Varanasi and Rajkot during morning hours.

Cold Watch
♦   Cold wave conditions prevailed over some parts of north interior Karnataka.
♦   Minimum temperatures are below 5°C at many places over  western Himalayan regions. Between 5­10°C at many places over Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and at a few places over Rajasthan, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, northeastern states, interior Maharashtra, interior Odisha and interior Karnataka. 
♦   The lowest minimum temperature of 5.0°C was recorded at  Chandigarh Airport (Haryana) in plains of the country.

Main Weather Observations
♦   RAINFALL: Weather remained mainly dry/dry over the entire country.

♦   Temperatures:  Minimum temperatures  were  below  normal  by  2­5°C  at  a few  places  over  south Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, interior Odisha, northeastern states, Maharashtra & Goa, coastal & north interior Karnataka, interior Andhra Pradesh and Kerala. They are above normal by 2­5°C at a few places over Rajasthan, Punjab, 
Haryana, north Madhya Pradesh, Kutch region and Bihar and near normal over rest of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0830   hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of southwest  Bay of Bengal and southwest Arabian sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of  Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, northeastern states, Andaman & Nicobar islands, Lakshadweep and south peninsular India.
