♦ RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers occurred at many places over Tamilnadu and at isolated places over Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (1 cm or more) recorded at 0830 hours IST of today are: Nagappattinam and Cuddalore3; Karaikal, Tiruchchirapalli, Atiramapattinam, Tuticorin, Minicoy, Yercaud and Palayankottai2 each and Dharmapuri, Madurai and Kodaikanal1 each.
♦ Temperatures: The minimum temperatures are between 1015°C over many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh; some parts of north Rajasthan, north Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. Minimum temperatures are below normal by 24°C over many parts of Gangetic plains, northeastern states and north coastal Andhra Pradesh.They are above normal by 24°C over many parts of western Himalayan
region, Rajasthan, Gujarat and west Madhya Pradesh and near normal over rest of the country.
♦ Fog: At 0830 hours IST of today : Fog/shallow fog has been observed over isolated pockets of Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
♦ Kalpana1: Cloud imagery at 1430 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, north Rajasthan, south Andaman sea and at many parts of southeast Arabian Sea. Low/medium clouds are seen over rest parts of the country outside east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar,east Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam & Meghalaya.
