Fog Watch
♦   Fog: Fog/shallow fog has been observed at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh and  west Assam  during morning hours.

Cold Watch
♦  Yesterday's prevailing minimum temperatures were below 10°C at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, north Rajasthan and east Madhya Pradesh. The lowest minimum temperature of 6.5°C was recorded at Najibabad (Uttar Pradesh)  in plains of the country.

Main Weather Observations
♦    RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers  occurred  at isolated places over Madhya 
Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar islands. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of today were: Punalur­3 and Mahabaleshwar and Agumbe ­1 each.

♦   Temperatures: Maximum temperatures were below normal by 2­4°C at isolated pockets of  east Uttar Pradesh,  northeast Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. They were  above normal by 2­5°C at a few places over western Himalayan region, Punjab, Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat , Madhya Pradesh, interior peninsular India and northeastern states. They were nearly normal over rest of the country.

 Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over many parts of central and adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal and eastcentral Arabian sea.  Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of Jammu & Kashmir, central, east and  peninsular India.
