Fog Watch
♦   Fog: Fog/shallow fog has been observed at isolated places over Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Meghalaya and Tripura  during morning hours.

Cold Watch
♦  Prevailing minimum temperatures are below 10°C at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh, north Rajasthan and  east Madhya Pradesh. The lowest minimum temperature of 6.5°C has been recorded at Najibabad (Uttar Pradesh)  in plains of the country.

Main Weather Observations
♦   RAINFALL: Rain/thundershowers has occurred at many places over Kerala and Andaman   &  Nicobar Islands  and  at  isolated  places  over Marathawada, Karnataka, Konkan,  Rayalaseema and Tamilnadu. Weather remained   mainly   dry/dry   over   rest   of   the   country.   The   chief   amounts   of   rainfall   (in   cm)   recorded   at   0830   hours   IST   of   today   are: Thriuvananthapuram­10; Alapuzha­8; Punalur­4; Kochi­3 and Pune, Kottayam and Mayabandar­1 each.

♦   Temperatures: Minimum temperatures are below normal by 2­5°C at a few places over northeastern states, West Bengal,& Sikkim, Odisha and east Madhya Pradesh. They are  above normal by 5­8°C at a few places over Punjab,  Maharashtra; by 2­4°C at many places peninsular India and at a few places over Rajasthan and Gujarat state and nearly normal over rest of the country.

♦  Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0830 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of  Kerala and over many parts of north Andaman sea,  southeast & adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal, comorin area and southeast Arabian sea.  Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of northeastern states and peninsular India.
