Fog Watch
♦   Fog: Fog/shallow fog has been observed at isolated places over Uttar Pradesh  in morning hours.

Cold Watch
♦    Yesterdays' prevailing minimum temperatures were below 10°C at isolated places over Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and east Madhya Pradesh. The lowest minimum temperature of 7.8°C  was recorded at  Lucknow  (Uttar Pradesh)   in plains of the 
country.

Main Weather Observations
♦    RAINFALL:  Rain/thundershowers   occurred at  few places over Tamilnadu and 
south coastal Andhra Pradesh and at isolated   places over Kerala, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Island. Weather remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (in cm) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Mayabandar ­12, Pamban­5,Valpari­4,  Nagappattinam,  Long Island,  Bapatla­3  each,  Port  Blair,  Kozhikode,  Tondi,  Karaikal  and  Thiruvananthapuram­2  each;  Cannur, 
Osmanabad  and Tondi ­1 each.

♦   Temperatures: Maximum temperatures were below normal by 2­4°C over some places over extreme south peninsular India and at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal and Marathawada. They were above normal by 2­ 4°C   over many places over western Himalaya region, north Madhya Pradesh and Odisha; at a few places over Rajasthan,Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra and interior Karnataka and are nearly normal over rest of the country.

♦   Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over many parts of north Andaman sea, southeast & adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal and some parts of Marathawada and comorin area.   Low/medium clouds are seen over some parts of western Himalayan region and  peninsular India.
