Fog Watch
♦   Fog: Fog/shallow fog has been observed at isolated pockets of Tripura at 0530 hours IST of today.

Cold Watch
♦ Yesterday's minimum temperatures are below normal by 4­6°C at isolated pockets  of Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and west Madhya Pradesh.   The lowest minimum  temperature of  6.5°C  was recorded at  Adampur(Punjab) and  Najibabad  (west 
Uttar Pradesh) in plains of the country. 

Main Weather Observations
♦   RAINFALL: Rain/thunderstorm occurred at  many places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Tamilnadu and isolated places over Kerala and Lakshadweep.   Weather  remained mainly dry/dry over rest of the country. The amounts of rainfall (cm) recorded at   1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Mayabandar­7, Nagapattinam and Karaikal­3 each, Long Islands and Hutbay­1 each.

♦   Temperatures: Yesterday's maximum temperatures were below normal by 2­4°C over many parts of  Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Gujarat region; at few places over West Bengal & Sikkim, Bihar and  Uttar Pradesh.  They were above normal 
by 2­5°C at  many places over northeastern states, Maharashtra, Karnataka and at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Island, Odisha, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.and nearly normal over rest parts of the country.

♦   Kalpana­1: Cloud imagery at 0530 hours IST shows convective clouds over some parts of central & south Bay of Bengal,south Andaman sea, comorin area and eastcentral & southeast Arabian sea.   Low/medium clouds are seen over parts of  
Jammu & Kashmir , Odisha, northeast and  peninsular India.
